As you may have noticed… I haven’t been consistently posting for the past few months.
I didn’t post last Monday, and despite my best intentions, I simply couldn’t write up a post for today either.
Me being me, I was completely, 100% prepared to pretend I would still have time to blog in the coming weeks. But then after a period of reflection, I realized I was being unrealistic.
College is a lot sometimes. But during finals season, it becomes a lot more.
As my classes prepare to (finally) come to a close, I’ve found myself scrambling to get all my homework done on time. And as the semester ends, I’ve been hanging out with friends more and more, trying to squeeze in a few more seconds before I leave school for Christmas break.
Instead of forcing myself to come up with subpar content at 11:53 PM on a Sunday night, I’ve decided to take a couple Mondays off and focus more on living life and not dying during finals.
In a couple weeks, I’ll be back with more content to wrap up 2021 and start off the new year on the right foot (never thought I’d be saying these phrases so soon…).
I hope you’ll join me back on The Paper Trail then, and until then, you have two assignments (if you choose to accept):
- Read some other blogs! If you find a site you really like, drop a link in the comments so I can read them too!
- Peruse some of my old posts. I’ve pulled a few I think you’ll like, and linked them below 🙂
See you soon!

Welcome back to The Paper Trail, where I’m supposed to post every Monday but fail almost every other week. I hope you’ll find it in your hearts to forgive me of the egregious behavior. Honestly, finding motivation to do anything…

I started journaling every day last summer. I would wake up at 4:30 AM to go on a run (because I live in the desert and 5 AM was the coolest time of day), eat a banana, shower, and then…

I saw this article awhile back and though of you. If you have a chance after finals are over to take a look at it maybe it’ll have some new info to guide you in your writing. Best wishes.
